We created the video series “Meet Our Designers” to introduce you to – you guessed it! – our most talented designers and take a peek behind the scenes with the creators at these successful fashion brands. This time we went to visit Berlin-based label Lana Mueller at her impressive studio, which also happens to be a boutique. The label is an integral part of the international and national fashion scene and makes dresses for women who celebrate their femininity.

Here’s the video:

Strong and Feminine: The Lana Mueller Look

It’s clear from the second you enter this fascinating location: Lana Mueller’s glamorous studio, which also serves as a boutique, is perfectly suited to the label’s equally glamorous creations. Lana Mueller designs for self-confident, strong women who want to emphasize their femininity and sensuality. The garments are inspired by influential and fashion-conscious women across the centuries, from Joan of Arc to Grace Kelly. First and foremost, Lana Mueller is about feeling at ease and celebrating the feminine body.

Whether French lace or an elegantly patterned fabric from Italy or Spain, all the materials and fabrics used by the label come from Europe – and that is very important to the designer. The samples are made in the Berlin studio and the garments produced in a well-known production facility in Szczecin, Poland.

Lana Mueller on Berlin: “This is where I feel most at home!”

Lana Mueller, the founder and designer behind the label that bears her name, was born in Kazakhstan, grew up in Hamburg, and lives in Berlin. After graduating from ESMOD in Berlin, she did a traineeship at Zac Posen in the fashion capital of New York and discovered her passion for clothes. In 2015 she returned to Berlin to accept a job offer and then founded her own eponymous label: “I got married, started a family, and this is my home here. This is where I feel most at home!”

The label became famous in 2016 with its tailor-made couture robes and evening dresses, which were soon complemented by a ready-to-wear collection and presented during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Today, the brand is an integral part of the Berlin fashion scene and is known both nationally and internationally.
